White Mark has launched White Mark Acoustic Toolbox (WM Toolbox), a room‑acoustics and measurement platform designed for acousticians, studio designers and engineers working on critical listening environments. WM Toolbox consolidates core design calculations, prediction tools, on‑site measurement and exportable reporting into a single native app, supporting workflows from first survey through to final deliverables.

At its core, WM Toolbox is designed to replace fragmented spreadsheets, lookup tables and desktop‑only utilities with one coherent toolkit. Users can move from room geometry and target setting to modal analysis and optimisation, through to treatment design and verification, while maintaining project continuity across devices and exporting consistent reports.
Design & Predict (planning and optimisation)
WM Toolbox supports early decisions that have significant acoustic impact, including room modes and modal distribution tools, RT60 targets, and per‑band RT60planning for building a treatment schedules. The 3D room simulator supports loudspeaker and listener placement, early‑reflection rays and low end response prediction, and LiDAR supported room scanning (on supported devices) provides rapid, accurate capture and visualisation of modal pressure zones in AR for on‑site verification.

Treatment & absorber design(specification‑ready outputs)
For absorber design, WM Toolbox includes porous absorber modelling (Miki model)with absorption coefficients and NRC/SAA outputs, plus tools for membrane/panel traps, Helmholtz resonators and multi‑layer stacks. Pro subscibers can also route calculated absorber performance directly to specific room surfaces, compare saved designs, and export specifications.
Measure & Verify (field measurement on iPhone/iPad/Watch)
WM Toolbox supports class‑compliant audio interfaces and USB measurement microphones (including calibration profiles) and includes SPL and spectrum tools, RT60 capture from noise decay, Noise Criteria assessment (NC/NR) with RCMark II‑style quality descriptors, vibration analysis (0.5–50 Hz) with ISO2631‑1 comfort ratings, occupational noise dosimetry aligned to OSHA/NIOSH concepts, and a built‑in signal generator (pink/white noise, log sine sweep and polarity tones). Measurements can be logged to projects throughout commissioning stages, feeding into reports. Additional measurement tools include a Spectrogram (2D and 3D Metal‑accelerated views), Oscilloscope(triggered capture with fundamental frequency detection), and a THD+N meter for sine‑wave analysis

Use‑cases (where WM Toolbox fits in real projects)
Initially developed for internal use in evaluating projects. The app is now available for all to use. WM Toolbox is designed to aid practical decision‑making in studios and other critical listening spaces, including feasibility studies and early dimensional testing; rapid room capture and survey; treatment scheduling and absorber specification; speaker/listener layout exploration and early‑reflection checks; commissioning/verification using live measurements; and producing consistent, client‑ready reports and raw data exports for archiving, peer review and handover.

Availability & pricing
WM Toolbox is available now on the App Store as a free download with three tiers: Free, Pro, and Commercial. Free includes all essential design tools; Pro unlocks unlimited projects, expanded simulation and toolsets, plus PDF/CSV export; Commercial adds commercial‑use rights and white‑label report branding for client deliverables.
Technical note
WM Toolbox provides engineering tools and estimates and is not a substitute for certified measurement instrumentation where compliance or regulation applies. This is particularly relevant when using occupational noise metrics orvibration comfort standards, which have specific instrumentation and procedural requirements in formal contexts.
